Wednesday 1st September

Premier Division :

Supporters at Blaise Park tonight were on hand to witness the very first 0-0 draw, in any of the three divisions, of the new season. The point apiece though did help both sides climb with St Blazey moving up two places to 8th and visiting Liskeard climbed three places to 9th. Action of the wrong sort was provided by players Jay Isbell (St Blazey) and Richard Maddison (Liskeard) who were both sent off for fighting.

Division 1 East :

New look Ottery St Mary, playing their first home game of the season, recorded a local derby 1-0 win over high flying Budleigh Salterton. In front of a much improved attendance at Washbrook Meadow the home side had to defend in depth against the Robins who had not lost a game this season and a draw looked to be as much as the Otters could hope for but an 81st minute penalty, ably dispatched by Chris Ibbeson gave them all 3 points.

Tuesday 31st August

FA Cup Preliminary Round :

Torpoint Athletic are through to the 1st qualifying round of this seasons FA Cup after a great 1-0 away win at Western League Premier side Odd Down tonight. Torpoint had earlier seen a Darren Hicks penalty saved but late in the game Josh Grant pounced to earn Torpoint 1,500 in prize money and a plum home tie on Saturday week with Southern League side Clevedon Town now heading to the Mill.

Premier Division :

Both Elburton Villa and St Austell recorded 2-1 league victories tonight and in doing so shot up from 16th and 17th in the table to now sit in 8th and 9th ! Elburton Villa came from behind to beat Tavistock at Haye Road after the visitiors led at the interval through Martyn Sullivans goal. Villa levelled through Chris Maskell and gained the winner from a Josh Fenwick penalty. St Austell gained their 2-1 win away at bottom club Wadebridge Town with Pat Shaughnessy and Dan Nancarrow putting them 2 goals up at Bodieve Park before Glen Squires pulled one back for the Bridgers who almost snatched a leveller in the dying moments when they struck the post.

Monday 30th August

Premier Division :

Buckland Athletic returned to the top of the table after winning todays only Premier fixture with ease. The Homers Heath club faced a Witheridge side that startyed with an injured keeper and never recovered from early set backs but the home side showed little sympathy with a 7-0 scoreline. Goals in the opening 10 minutes from Ryan Beattie and Antony Lynch forced the visitors to replace Steve Johns, injured in the warm up, with outfield player Aaron Harper-Penman but he was no match for the Bucks front line who added goals at regular intervals with Mike Booth, Danny Lewis, Stuart Morgan and a brace from Simon Revell to keep the crowd of 241 entertained.

Division 1 East :

Teignmouth who before the weekend had just 2 points from 2 games are now top of the table after following up Saturdays opening win over Civil Service with a back to back win this afternoon with a 4-1 verdict away at Axminster Town to move onto 8 points and lead the table. In the morning match Newton Abbot Spurs lost out to a late show away at Exeter Civil Service. Spurs had led 1-0 and 2-1 thanks to a brace from Adam Hill but then missed the chance to go 3-1 in front when Mark Dyson saw his penalty saved by home keeper Nick Coles. 5 minutes from time Civil levelled from the penalty spot with Jason Rees on target and with a drawing looking likely Civil conjured up a 93rd minute winner through substitute Matt Mortimer.

Division 1 West :

Newquay maintained their 100% start to the new season and now sit 4 points clear of the field at the top of the table after a 5-1 win this afternoon away at Hayle. The Peppermints nearest challengers are Penryn Athletic who were also in bank holiday action but they were held to a 1-1 draw at Kernick by visiting Foxhole Stars who drew their 2nd game from their opening three fixtures today.

Sunday 29th August

FA Cup Preliminary Round :

Bodmin Town cruised through to the first qualifying round of the FA Cup with a Sunday afternoon victory over higher level Wellington of the Western League Premier Division.  The tie was switched to Sunday and played at Elmore as Wellington share with cricket but none of this proved a problem for a Bodmin side who never looked in danger against their step 5 opponents. A Chris Luxton penalty and a Steve Colwell shot gave them a two goal interval lead and Luxton scored again after the break to earn a home tie with Wessex League side Poole Town in a fortnights time.

Saturday 28th August

FA Cup Preliminary Round :

Torpoint Athletic live to fight another day in the worlds oldest Cup competition after they drew 1-1 at home today with Western League Premier outfit Odd Down. They now face a trip to Bath on Tuesday night in the replay for the right to play Southern League Clevedon Town in the next round. Tavistock gave Southern League taunton Town a fright before exitting the Cup 1-2 at the hands of the Peacocks but when Jamie Ahearn levelled a quarter of an hour from time a replay had looked a possibility.

Premier Division :

Exactly 14 days ago Bovey Tracey were thrashed 0-7 at home by Plymouth Parkway and had lost the 2nd of their opening 3 matches. It shows the improvement since that they now lead the Premier table with 13 points from their 7 matches, this points total aided by a 2-1 away win at St Austell today to follow up their midweek draw at Saltash United. Plymouth Parkway are upto 2nd in the table themselves as they bounced back from last weekends first defeat of the season to beat bottom club Wadebridge Town 3-1 at Bolitho Park today. Two of this mornings bottom five sides gained useful wins to move up the table with Launceston winning 4-2 away at Cullompton Rangers to move up five places to 11th and the Royal Marines recorded their 2nd straight 1-0 win as Phil Everett scored against his forner club, Witheridge, to send the commandos up four places to 14th. Two matches ended all square with Elburton Villa drawing 2-2 with Liskeard Athletic at Haye Road and over at Erme Valley, Ivybridge Town drew 1-1 with visitors Penzance.

Division 1 East :

On a day of precious few Eastern division goals, just 15 all day, Greenway Lane was again the place to see high scoring. Fresh from last weekends 4-3 win Budleigh Salterton racked up another home win this week over visiting Totnes & Dartington with a 4-2 scoreline. Division favourites Stoke Gabriel recorded their 2nd win and 2nd clean sheet as they beat Bickleigh 2-0 at the Churchward ground as Budleigh and Stoke joined Appledore in recording two wins so far. Two sides gained their first wins of the new campaign with Teignmouth following up two draws by beating Exeter Civil Service at Combe Valley with Rob Perry and ian Wilkinson on target and Galmpton Gents had a narrow but important 1-0 win at home to Axminster Town. Two games ended as draws with both Exmouth Town and their visitors, Liverton United recording their 2nd draws in their opening two games with a 1-1 scoreline at Southern Road and at Topsham Road the University of Exeter drew 1-1 with a Newton Abbot Spurs side who remain unbeaten from their first three fixtures.

Division 1 West :

Goals galore in the Western division today with some 42 goals scored in just 7 league matches. Leading the way were Penryn Athletic who thrashed visiting Mousehole by an incredible 10-3 scoreline. The Kernick side had both Dale Band and Cody Cooke both bagging themselves hat-tricks. Although well beaten Mousehole have at least discovered their scoring touch as they notched up three consolation efforts. Penryn are kept off the top of the table by Newquay who themselves provided the supporters at Mount Wise with a goal feast as they beat Okehampton Argyle by a 6-3 margin. Camelford moved up a place to third and also got into the scoring groove as they beat reigning Champions Perranporth 5-1 in a game held up due to a suspected broken leg suffered by a visiting player. Porthleven completed the high scoring drama as they remain 100% from their opening two games after a 7 goal thriller away at Callington Town with the Fishermen triumphing 4-3. Two sides gained good away wins with Vospers Oak Villa winning their first away game of the season 2-1 at Foxhole Stars and Godolphin Atlantic had a 2-0 success at Hayle. One match ended all square as Holsworthy collected their first point of the season from a 1-1 draw with Dobwalls at Upcott Field.

Friday 27th August

Division 1 East :

Appledore are the only Eastern division side to have won their opening two matches after they followed up last weekends win at home to Alphington with a 3-1 victory tonight away at Crediton United. Russell Harrison scored twice, either side of a Richard Hevingham strike to give the visitors a commanding lead and the Kirton could only grab a consolation when Wayne Baker scored.

Wednesday 25th August

Premier Division :

The damp and gloomy weather caused the first casualties of the season and they included the Premier game at Plymouth Parkway who had been due to host the Royal Marines. One top flight game did survive the weather though as Witheridge and Torpoint Athletic served up a 7 goal thriller at Edge Down Park. The visitors claimed all the points with a 4-3 win that included a hat-trick from striker Josh Grant.

Division 1 East :

All three games in the Eastern section were completed and this was in no small part down to players and match officials exercising common sense and getting the games played. Stoke Gabriel who had reacted to having been labelled as pre season "favourites" are off the mark with an excellent 2-0 win away at near neighbours Totnes & Dartington, a result that if nothing else will mean that tag will stay with them a bit longer ! Also gaining their first win of the season were Alphington who had a narrow 1-0 win over Crediton United at the Chronicles with Darren Bingham scoring the all important goal. One game ended in a draw as Teignmouth drew their 2nd game of the week after a late leveller gave them a 1-1 draw at home to Galmpton United.

Division 1 West :

Mousehole finally ended the unwelcome record of 12 games since they last scored a league goal and then went on to score a 2nd to earn a first win since March. Visiting Truro City Reserves had led at the break through Tom Ball but in the 2nd half Tom Patrick scored after 58 minutes to bring the barren spell to an end after some 17 and a half hours of playing time ! Their next goal came in the much shorter time frame of 28 minutes later as Patrick was on hand again to seal a 2-1 win. It was also 2-1 in the other game played in this division as Vospers Oak Villa gained their first win of the season with a 2-1 success at home to Callington Town. The match between Camelford and Godolphin Atlantic was a victim of the wet weather.

Tuesday 24th August

Premier Division :

It was quite a night in the top flight as 6 completed games produced 39 goals, a new league record was set and a game abandoned !

Buckland Athletic beat visiting Dartmouth 6-2 at Homers Heath to not only extend their 100% start to the season but also move onto 28 league games without defeat, beating the previous record held by Bodmin Town. Falmouth Town racked up their 3rd straight win tonight as they thrashed St Austell 6-1 at Bickland Park to climb the table whilst Bodmin Town were held to a 4-4 draw at a Launceston side who they had beaten 3-0 in the FA Cup only ten days ago. Another side held to a draw were Saltash United who took the lead at through Marc Thorne but were pegged back to a 1-1 draw by Bovey Tracey when Mark Sneap levelled before the break. Two sides gained their first wins of the season with Elburton Villa climbing off the bottom of the table after a 5-3 win away at Cullompton Rangers and replacing them at the foot of the table are now Wadebridge Town who lost 1-5 at home to a Tavistock side who had not previously won a league game themselves so far this term. The game between Penzance and St Blazey was abandoned at half time due to floodlight failure, this was especially frustrating for the Magpies who had led 2-0 at the time.

Division 1 East :

Two more matches in the Eastern section tonight but still no side to have recorded back to back wins. Newton Abbot Spurs moved onto 4 points as they gained their first win with a 4-0 verdict at home to an Ottery St Mary side who had won on the opening day. In the other game both Exeter Civil Service and Budleigh Salterton had won on the opening day but both had to be content with a point tonight as they drew 1-1 at Foxhayes after Matt Byrne fired the home side into the lead only for Robins subsitute James Nicholls to level 12 minutes from time.

Division 1 West :

Newquay chalked up their 2nd win of the opening week as they beat near-neighbours Perranporth 2-1 in the big coastal derby at Mount Wise this evening. The Peppermints are the first side to record back to back wins although Penryn Athletic are unbeaten after they followed up Saturdays win with a 1-1 draw tonight at Hayle. Gary Matthews gave the home side the lead with the visitors replying 3 minutes from time through Steve Owen. Dobwalls chalked up their first win of the season as they beat Plymstock United 2-1 at Lantoom Park where Ben Gasgoine and an own goal did the damage with the visitors scoring through Craig Holt.

Monday 23rd August

Division 1 East :

The University of Exeter who had romped to an unexpected 5-0 win at Stoke Gabriel on Saturday were bought firmly back to earth tonight as Bickleigh deservedly won 2-0 at Topsham Road. An Andy Murphy goal after 21 minutes looked to have been the only goal of the game until a 90th minute long range effort from Nathan Haskins sealed the visitors first points of the new season.

Saturday 21st August

Premier Division :

It's actually quite a rare event for all 52 of the clubs to be in league action on the same day, what with the myriad of different Cup competitions, the Friday night matches and the weather it may well be that today is the only such occasion in the whole season ! 26 matches saw 103 goals scored with 9 home wins, 12 away successes and 5 score draws.

The Premier division shock result was probably at Bolitho Park where previously unbeaten and free scoring Plymouth Parkway were bought down to earth with a bump after losing 1-2 at home to a Penzance side that have fitted easily into life following their summer managerial and player changes. This allowed Buckland Athletic to claim the only surviving 100% league record after they bounced back from last weeks Cup exit to win 2-0 away at previously unbeaten Torpoint Athletic today with Simon Revell and Shane Gill on target. Two other sides in the division remain unbeaten and they include another side who put midweek Cup exits behind them as St Blazey ran out 4-1 winners at Blaise Park over visiting Dartmouth. The final unbeaten side are Bodmin Town who also had a home win today, in their case a 3-1 success over Witheridge at Priory Park. At the foot of the table the two sides who had previously not collected a point both got off the mark today. The Royal Marines gained their first ever win at Step 6 with a 1-0 scoreline away at Liskeard Athletic whilst Elburton Villa collected a point from a 3-3 score draw away at St Austell to earn their first point of the campaign. Two other sides have yet to taste league victory this season and these are Tavistock who were held to a 2-2 draw at home by visiting Cullompton Rangers and by Wadebridge Town who slipped to a 2-3 defeat away at Bovey Tracey. Another two sides whjo lost out in FA Cup replays met at Kimbeley Stadium with visiting Falmouth Town getting back to winning ways with a 1-0 verdict. Ivybridge Town who had an away midweek win in the league followed that up with the seasons biggest home win so far, a 5-1 win over visiting Launceston.

Division 1 East :

The Eastern Division kicked off today with pre-season favourites Stoke Gabriel the shock casualty of the opening day ! They had the University of Exeter at home which is often regarded as a kind fixture given the Students term times but that proved to be totally incorrect as the University ran out 5-0 winners. Next highest scorers were Budleigh Salterton although visiting Bickleigh made sure it was a tight game at Greenway Lane with the Robins winning 4-3 thanks to a Khaled Badani hat-trick. Appledore kicked off the season with a 3-0 win at home to Alphington in the days only other home win. Exeter Civil Service had a narrow 1-0 win at Axminster Town and also winning away were Totnes & Dartington who won 3-2 at Crediton United and Ottery St Mary who under the new management of Dane Bunney started with a 3-2 win at Galmpton that featured an Ashley McDermid opening goal after 54 seconds and an injury time winner from Lance Easton. Two matches ended in score draws with Liverton United snatching a late point as they came from behind to draw 2-2 at home to Teignmouth whilst at Exmouth Town both they and visiting Newton Abbot Spurs scored in the first half as they drew 1-1.

Division 1 West :

Callington Town started the brightest in the West Division, which was surprising given that fog had threatened to cause a postponement earlier in the day ! When the action started Callington beat relegated Holsworthy 5-0. Also scoring five were Penryn Athletic who enjoyed their long day out to Okehampton Argyle with a 5-1 success at Simmons Park. Three sides all notched 4-1 wins as Newquay beat Dobwalls by that margin at Mount Wise and over the other side of town Godolphin Atlantic also had a 4-1 win in their case against visiting Plymstock United. Camelford had an away day for their 4-1 verdict as they achieved maximum points from their trip to Vospers Oak Villa. Two more sides had away wins with Porthleven winning 2-1 away at Truro City Reserves and defending Champions Perranporth winning 3-0 at a Mousehole side who last scored a league goal in March and today drew a blank for the 11th time on the trot. One match ended with honours even as Foxhole Stars and Hayle kicked off their seasons with a point apiece from a 1-1 draw at Trevassack Park.

Wednesday 18th August

FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round :

Falmouth Town departed the FA Cup in tonights replay against Western League side Ilfracombe Town where the North Devon visitors came from behind to win 2-1 at Bickland Park. Liam Eddy had earlier given the home side a first half lead. Torpoint Athletic also now know their opponents in the next round after Western League Odd Down beat Wessex outfit Verwood 4-1 meaning the Bath based side will now visit The Mill.

Premier Division :

Bovey Tracey recorded their 2nd away win of the season, having lost both home games so far, with a 3-1 win away at the Royal Marines tonight. Mike Turner fired the visitors into an early lead which was doubled by Cameron Kelly. The Commandos pulled a goal back on the stroke of half time through a Shea Saunders penalty but Craig Duff made the points safe for the visitors with the only goal of the 2nd half. The game was held up due to the referee being taken ill and his place being taken by one of the assistants who in turn was replaced by a watching official.

Tuesday 17th August

F A Cup Extra Preliminary Round :

Torpoint Athletic, playing in their first ever FA Cup, are safely through to the Preliminary Round after a 5-1 thrashing of fellow Peninsula League side St Blazey at The Mill. Torpoint will now face a home tie with either Odd Down or Verwood Town who replay on Wednesday night. The hosts had Brian Stacey scoring twice and Josh Grant, Liam Thornton and Billy Allen also on target with the stunned visitors gaining only a Dave Trott consolation. St Blazey ended the game with 10 men after keeper Tom Blackler was sent off for a professional foul. Buckland Athletic departed the Cup after going down 2-3 away at Western Premier outfit Radstock Town, the Bucks had Antony Lynch and Ryan Beattie finding the net. Saltash United also lost out away at Western League Premier opposition Bishop Sutton in cruel circumstances. After 90 minutes it was 3-3, extra time saw both sides score again to make it 4-4 and onto the dreaded penalties with the home side winning through 5-4.

Premier Division :

In tonights only league match Ivybridge Town gained a welcome away win with a 4-2 success at near neighbours Elburton Villa. The Ivy's were 3 nil up at the break after Levi Landricombe scored twice and Mike Landricombe once. Elburton pulled the scores back to 2-3 with a Paul Baker penalty and a Ryan Williams effort but in stoppage time Dennis Mason scored the visitors 4th to seal the win.

Saturday 14th August

F A Cup Extra Preliminary Round :

Of the eight South West Peninsula League sides in FA Cup duty today, rather oddly only 2 progressed and only 1 departed the worlds oldest Cup competition. A string of replays means that 5 clubs will get a 2nd bite of the cherry with midweek sudden death replays that feature both extra time and penalties. Of the ties that were decided today pride of place goes to Tavistock who inflicted a 2-0 away win at Western League outfit Keynsham Town to earn the right to entertain Southern League side Taunton Town at Langsford Park in a fortnight. One of the two all league ties was resolved as Bodmin Town booked their place with a 3-0 win away at fellow Peninsula league side Launceston. Bodmin will travel to Wellington of the Western League in a fortnights time. Of the five sides facing midweek replays are two other Peninsula League sides who face each other again after St Blazey and Torpoint Athletic was a 1-1 draw at Blaise Park and wil now switch to the Mill on Tuesday night to decide who hosts either Odd Down or Verwood Town who also drew this afternoon. Three sides drew with higher league opposition with Falmouth Town drawing 4-4 away at Ilfracombe Town to give themselves a home Wednesday night replay at Bickland Park to see who travels to Frome Town in the next round. Buckland Athletic also drew 4-4 in their case at home to Radstock Town with an Antony Lynch hat-trick helping the Bucks earn Tuesday nights replay in North Somerset to thrash out who will travel to Willand Rovers in the next round. Saltash United also had a home draw which means a midweek Tuesday night trip away as they drew 1-1 with Bishop Sutton at Kimberley and will have to win away if they are to face another trip to Poole Town in the next round.

Premier Division :

Plymouth Parkway racked up a 7-0 away day win at Bovey Tracey this afternoon to extend their 100% start to the season and bring their goal tally up to 17 from just 3 matches. Andy Sargent netted a hat-trick and Chris Wright a brace as Parkway move 3 points clear of the field. St Austell battled back from 0-2 down to beat Dartmouth 4-2 at Poltair as they played and won their first ever home game at Step six of the pyramid. Four sides chalked up their 2nd wins in 3 outings with Liskeard Athletic winning 2-1 away at Ivybridge Town, Penzance inflicting a defeat on still pointless Royal Marines with a 3-1 verdict at Endurance Park and likewise Elburton Villa remain without a point after they were soundly beaten 5-1 at home by a Witheridge side that had Steve Ebdy score his second brace of the week. Cullompton Rangers who lost their first game 0-6 recorded a 2nd 2-0 win in the week as they won 2-0 away at Wadebridge Town. The Cullompton players observed a minutes silence and wore black armbands as they paid their respects to Adam Stansfield who passed away this week. Adam played for Cullompton for two seasons before breaking into the professional game.

Wednesday 11th August

Premier Division :

Plymouth Parkway joined Buckland Athletic as the only side to claim maximum points from their first two games after edging a 7 goal thriller at home to Ivybridge Town. A bumper crowd of over 300 at Bolitho Park were treated to a cracking game that saw Parkway score through Andy Sargent with two and both Glynn Hobbs and Chris Wright with one apiece. The Ivy's more than made a game of it and had Mike Landricombe scoring a brace and Dennis Mason once. Two more sides gained their opening wins of the new season and in doing so means that 18 of the 20 clubs are already off the mark. Bovey Tracey had a 4-0 win away at Dartmouth with the scoring shared around the visitors including debutant Tom Sercombe notching on his debut. An exemplary minutes silence was observed at Witheridge in memory of Tiverton based Adam Stansfield who passed away last night. Witheridge trailled Tavistock 0-2 at one stage after Chris Head and Dan Pethick had both scored but the home side turned it around to win 3-2 as Steve Ebdy scored twice either side of an outrageous overhead kick from Neil Pointing. Bodmin Town and St Blazey ended with honours even in a 2-2 draw. The visitors had led 2-0 at the break through a Josh Higman brace but the home side levelled through Craig Swiggs and Mark Berry.

Tuesday 10th August

Premier Division :

Half a dozen games were played tonight in the top division and early indications are that its going to be a topsy turvy season as most sides who had won last Saturday tasted defeat tonight and vice versa 4 of the sides who had lost on the opening day recorded wins tonight. The only team to boast 2 wins from 2 outings are reigning Champions Buckland Athletic who beat a resiliant Elburton Villa 2-0 at Homers Heath with an 18th minute goal from Antony Lynch and a winner 19 minutes from time via Shane Gill. Torpoint Athletic drew on Saturday but won tonight to give themselves 4 points from their opening games and also a good deal of local pride as they thrashed near neighbours Saltash United 5- 2 at The Mill with Adam Carter apparently scoring all 5 of his sides goals. Four sides notched their first wins of the campaign including fancied Falmouth Town who beat Wadebridge 3-0 at Bickland Park with both Mark Hollands and matt Drummond on target. Launceston had a narrow 1-0 win away at Liskeard Athletic with Liam Tilleys first half strike being the difference. The two new clubs didn't fare too well as the Royal Marines lost for the 2nd time as they went down 2-0 away at Cullompton Rangers who recorded their first win of the season thanks to goals from a Brett Worbey penalty and a Nick Murray effort. St Austell who drew on Saturday slipped to a defeat tonight as they lost 3-0 away at a Penzance side who had lost at the weekend. The Magpies scorers were Matt Shiels with two and Dan Magee with one.

Saturday 7th August

Premier Division :

The top flight is back into full swing after the summer break with another 9 matches today. Two sides were playing their first ever games at Step 6 although neither was able to start with a win. Last seasons Division 1 East Champions the Royal Marines hosted St Blazey at Endurance Park with the visitors taking the points from a 3-1 win. Danny Zalick scored both the first and last goals for the Green & Blacks with Chris Reski also on target whilst the Marines did score their first goal at this level when Dan Boere made the scoreline 1-1 midway through the first half. St Austell who were promoted from the West Division did better as they collected a point from a 2-2 draw away at Tavistock despite having trailled 0-1 at the interval. Lambs striker Chris Head scored twice following his transfer from Elbuerton Villa whilst St Austell had Will Tinsley and an own goal for their tally.

With Plymouth Parkway having won on Friday night the other sides expected to do well played catch-up with the majority starting the season with wins. Reigning Champions Buckland Athletic came back from a goal down to win 2-1 away at Launceston in Steve Masseys first league game in charge of the Bucks with Danny Lewis and Anthony Lynch on target. Last years Runners Up Bodmin Town had a 3-0 win away at Bovey Tracey with goals from Danny O'Hagan, Steve Ovens and Luke Hodge whilst Saltash United ran out 4-1 winners at home to Witheridge thanks to a much improved second half display as the scores were level at Kimberley Stadium at half time. The Ashes shared the scoring around with 4 different players including Sam Hughes on target. One side who are widely tipped to do well this campaign but who started with a defeat today are Falmouth Town. The Bickland Park fans were treated to a 7 goal thriller with visiting Ivybridge Town but it was the Ivy's that left with the points from a 4-3 win that featured braces from both Dennis Mason and Mike Landricombe. Another 7 goal thriller was served up at Longcross where hosts Dartmouth edged home 4-3 against visiting Elburton Villa to give Darts boss Lance Worthington a win in his first league match in charge. Villa had Paul Baker scoring twice with both efforts coming from the penalty spot.

The fastest goal of the day was reported as just 21 seconds as Dan Parke fired Liskeard Athletic into an early lead at Penzance. The visitors went on to secure all 3 points with two further strikes from John Morris and Joe Carey to give a 3-0 scoreline. Wadebridge Town who are under the caretaker management of Robbie Black earnt a point to open their season at Bodieve Park as they drew 2-2 with visiting Torpoint Athletic who are ironically managed by former Wadebridge boss Stuart Dudley.

Its far too early for league tables but after the opening round of games 8 sides have recorded opening weekend wins, another 4 sides have started with a draw and the remaining 8 will look to get off the mark in midweek when all 20 sides are in action with 6 games on Tuesday night and a further 4 matches on Wednesday evening.

Friday 6th August

Premier Division :

The league season is up and running after tonights opening fixture saw highly fancied Plymouth Parkway get off to a flying start with a 6-0 win away at Cullompton Rangers. The first league goal of the new season took just 4 minutes although a touch of controversy came when naming the scorer, to most witnesses it looked like John Heverans angled drive found the target alone but Andy Sargent claimed to have provided the finishing touch. Their was no doubting the 2nd goal which came from Glyn Hobbs on debut on the stroke of half time. The second half started with Chris Wright scoring and then late goals from substitutes Marc Bonney and Lee Coxon were added to by Hobbs with his 2nd and Parkways 6th two minutes from time. Cullomptons young side battled well and one consolation for the home side was the very healthy attendance of 253.

Sunday 1st August

An excellent total of 1,017.50 was raised for the league benevolent fund from todays two matches, many thanks to all those that supported the gate and the raffle.

Charity Bowl :

Buckland Athletic became the first reigning league Champions to also win the annual Charity Bowl fixture this afternoon with a 3-1 win over Bodmin Town at an immaculate Langsford Park, Tavistock. The South Devon side raced into a 3 goal lead with goals from Danny Gaze, Simon Revell with a cracking drive from outside the box and Shane Gill. All the scoring was completed by half time as Bodmin reduced the arrears through Danny O'Hagan. The charitable nature of the fixture didn't find its way on the pitch as both sides picked up yellow cards and Bodmin player boss Darren Gilbert was prohibited from either the pitch or the dug out for his part in an altercation on the way off the pitch at half time. The second half saw both sides have chances to score but neither manage it and at the full time whistle league president Carl Throgmorton presented the honours.

Charity Vase :

For the first time the East Division Champions got the better of their West Division counterparts to lift the Charity Vase. The Royal Marines were 2-0 winners in an entertaining tussle with West Division side Perranporth with the deciding goals coming from Martin Finneron and George Robinson. At the conclusion of the match Maurice Sweeney from main sponsors Carlsberg did the honours of handing out medals and the Vase.

Cornwall Charity Cup :

Newquay completed the 2009/10 season on a high after lifting the Cornwall Charity Cup with a 2-0 win over St Austell in the final that was staged this year at St Blazey. Ashley Bradshaw just before the break and then Paul Robertson on the hour gave the Peppermints the win over a St Austell side that finished with 10 men and then had another player sent off after the final whistle.

Monday 10th May

Division 1 East :

The East division Champions, Royal Marines, completed their season with a 2-0 win over the University of Exeter at Endurance Park with both goals coming in the last quarter of an hour, from Chris Duchenski and Stuart Morgan. At the final whistle Carl Throgmorton presented the Runners Up Cup to Stoke Gabriel who came along to watch the match and then the Championship Cup to the Royal Marines.

Saturday 8th May

Premier Division :

Buckland Athletic were crowned League Champions after completing their season with a 6-1 win away at Holsworthy. After a nervous start that saw them level at 1-1 at half time they turned on the style early in the 2nd period with 4 goals in the first 15 minutes of the 2nd period, Antony Lynch netting twice. League chairman Mark Hayman presented them with the trophy in front of a large and noisy set of travelling supporters. Bodmin Town are runners up after a 3-0 win at Witheridge, a result that means they have won one more game and collected one more point than last season when they won the league. Keith Mann the match officials director presented them with the Runners-Up trophy at the final whistle. Elsewhere St Blazey confirmed themselves in 4th spot with a 2-0 win at home to Cullompton Rangers. Penzance climbed a place to 7th with a 2-1 win at Dartmouth and Torpoint Athletic jumped a place to 8th with a 2-0 win away at Launceston. The only other final day winner was Liskeard Athletic who end the campaign in 16th despite a 3-1 home win over Wadebridge Town.

Division 1 East :

The only issue that needed resolving in East was where the 4th placed prize money would end up and that was decided after Galmpton Gents remained in that spot after an amazing 8-5 and 13 goal thriller over visiting Exeter Civil Service. As it was the 2 sides who could have taken the money both failed to win anyway as Appledore were held to a goalless draw at home to Liverton United and Totnes & Dartington ended their season with a 2-1 defeat at the University of Exeter. The Students finish their games on Monday away at the Royal Marines who themselves bounced back from a couple of midweek defeats to win 3-1 away at Teignmouth. Okehampton Argyle finished with a win as they won at home to Axminster Town by a 4-3 margin at Simmons Park.

Division 1 West :

Perranporth were presented with the West Division Trophy by league finance director Bob Baddeley after their final game of the season today. As it was they slipped to a rare home defeat as the were beaten 2-1 by visitors Callington Town. Hayle ensured that they gained the 3rd placed prize money after they drew 1-1 away at Camelford and the only side who could have climbed above them, Penryn Athletic, were soundly beaten 0-4 at home by Plymstock United. Godolphin Atlantic failed to finish above loacl rivals Newquay after they lost 4-2 away at Dobwalls and also winning at home were Porthleven who beat Foxhole Stars 2-1 at Gala Parc. Bottom side Mousehole will be pleased their season is over after they lost their final game of the season 0-3 at home to Vospers Oak Villa.

Friday 7th May

Premier Division :

Falmouth Town won 2-1 away at Tavistock tonight in their final game of the campaign. The defeat for Tavistock means that St Blazey will take the prize money for 4th spot just as long as they don't lose by 2 or more goals at home to Cullompton on Saturday. Plymouth Parkway ended their season with a 4-1 home win over Bovey Tracey that means Parkway will finish in 6th spot, Parkway striker Andy Sargent netting twice to almost certainly claim the divisions "Golden Boot" prize. One game ended all square as Elburton Villa and Saltash United ended their seasons with a 2-2 draw at Haye Road which lifts the Ashes to 7th, although depending on results on Saturday they may not stay that high. Elburton remain in 13th spot and can claim the tag of "draw specialists" as they have had 11 draws this season, more than any other club in any of the 3 divisions.

Division 1 East :

Bottom side Bickleigh finished their first ever season on a bit of a high with a 3-1 win over Exmouth Town in this final fixture of the season for both sides which was played at Cullompton Rangers. Ben Shephard had given the visitors the lead but Bickleigh hit back with leading scorer Kieran Rapo netting two of his sides three goals.

Thursday 6th May

Division 1 East :

Teignmouth came out on top in the Thursday night clash of two in form teams with a 2-1 home win over Totnes & Dartington. Adam Fay fired the hosts into a 5th minute lead then doubled the advantage after 64 minutes with a shot from an almost impossible angle. The visitors reduced the arrears 12 minutes from time through a Ryan Hare shot.

Wednesday 5th May

Premier Division :

This seasons title race was already the closest fought in the leagues short history but tonights events will have made sure that this years battle will be long remembered by both the Champions and the Runners Up. The race looked to be swinging firmly back into the path of a Bodmin Town side who have shown the determination and consistency to fight to retain their title to the very last and tonight thrashed Bovey Tracey 8-0 at Priory Park with Sam Matthews bagging a hat-trick and Steve Colwell a brace. That result looked to have put them as favourites as Buckland Athletic trailed Falmouth Town 0-1 to a Josh Sims strike at half time and then 0-2 after Sims scored again on 72 minutes. In fact it was not until the 88th minute that Buckland threw themselves a lifeline with an Antony Lynch header which signalled an injury time onslaught that saw Danny Lewis prod home a 92nd minute equaliser to keep the Homers Heath club in pole position. Sadly the game was marred by the reaction of Falmouths Sean Flynn who was lucky to get just a yellow for comments at the referee and then plain daft as he had another go at the man in black and was promptly red carded. The title situation is now that a win for Buckland at relegated Holsworthy on Saturday would give them the title unless Bodmin not only win at Witheridge but also by at least 7 goals more than Buckland manage as their goal difference is 6 better and they have scored 20 more goals than Bodmin.

Elsewhere Tavistock lost 0-2 at home to Plymouth Parkway with Andy Sargent and Chris Wright on target, this result means that Falmouth cannot be caught in 3rd place and the fight for the final prize money position is now between Tavistock and St Blazey who were 1-0 winners at home to Dartmouth tonight. A trio of sides just below mid-table all gained wins with Witheridge running out 5-1 victors at bottom side Holsworthy with Perry Carpenter scoring twice, Launceston also had an away win with a 4-0 success at Liskeard Athletic with Dominic Richardson scoring twice and Elburton Villa had a 3-1 win at home to Cullompton Rangers.

Division 1 East :

Divisional Champions the Royal Marines lost for the 2nd time in 3 days as they went down to a 1-2 defeat at home to Exeter Civil Service with Danny Hall scoring the winner. Appledore kept alive their chances of finishing in the prize money with a 6-0 thrashing of Ottery St Mary that included a Steve Skinner hat-trick and the University of Exeter had a 4-0 away win at Axminster Town with 2 goals each for Mike Dale and Sam Taylor.

Division 1 West :

Champions Perranporth completed their away fixtures with a goalless draw at Callington Town tonight in a result that did little for either team but in the other game played in this division Camelford climbed a place to 7th with a 4-1 win away at Foxhole Stars.

Tuesday 4th May

Division 1 East :

Both away teams in tonights two matches notched high scoring victories with Exmouth Town top scoring from a 5-3 success away at Crediton United that also lifts them a place in the table to 8th. Dave O'Conner notched two of the goals with leading scorer Ben Shephard only scoring once and that from the penalty spot. Kyrton who completed their fixtures for the season had two from captain Matt Trenaman. Also winning away were Teignmouth who had a 4-2 success at Galmpton Gents with Adam Fay scoring twice. Galmpton remain in 4th spot but are in real danger of falling out of the prize money positions.

Division 1 West :

Millbrook who are stepping down from Step 7 to play in the local leagues played their last game tonight but it did not end on a high as they were beaten 2-1 away at a Truro City Reserves side who also "leap-frogged" their guests in the table and up into 14th spot with a rare win of their own.

Monday 3rd May

Throgmorton Cup Final :

Buckland Athletic lifted the Throgmorton Cup for the first time in their history with a fully deserved victory over the holders, and previously unbeaten in this competition, Bodmin Town.

In front of a crowd of 307 at the immaculate Speeds Meadow the day was blessed with glorious sunshine but with a swirling breeze that suited sides attacking the ground entrance end goal.

After the formalities of the day were observed with the North Devon Band of Pipes & Drums followed by a respectfully observed minutes silence in memory of Lenny Lobb who had passed away just hours before the match the two teams started what was to be an epic 2 hour struggle between the leagues standard bearers in Bodmin Town and their pretenders in Buckland Athletic.

It was Bodmin who pressed first and enjoyed a good opening spell and indeed opened the scoring when Luke Hodge angled his header from 6 yards past Neil Montandon. This seemed to shake Buckland and for a while they were like a heavyweight boxer, struck on the ropes but slowly they gained their composure and made it to the half time interval without suffering any further setbacks.

The 2nd half saw Buckland have the wind at their backs and they enjoyed far more of the play but when their approach play made a shooting opportunity possible they found the Bodmin keeper, Kevin Miller to be an inmovable object as he saved high, low, left and right to keep his sides lead. But eventually an effort had to go in and Danny Gaze put the finishing touch to a 3 man move with a bullet like header at the far post that made the net bulge. Now it was Man of the Match Millers turn to keep his side in it as extra time beckoned whilst at the other end opposite number Montandon was largely untroubled.

The 90 minutes were signalled by young Cameron Mann who officiated excellently and kept a lid on proceedings whilst allowing the game to flow.

Extra time started with Buckland again in the ascendancy but no goals in the first period and the thought of a first final to be decided by penalty kicks was looking likely, but in the end it was just 1 penalty rather than a penalty competition that decided the matter as Antony Lynch struck home a 107th minute spot kick past Miller to give the Bucks the lead.

Bodmin pushed on looking to level matters up and now it was the turn of Montandon to shine as he turned one effort over his bar by his fingertips and saved well down at the feet of Mark Berry. The final whistle came much to the joy of the Buckland supporters who perhaps not surprisingly outnumbered the Bodmin contingent that had been forced to travel the furthest this year.

The man of the match prize went to the Bodmin keeper Kevin Miller much to the agreement of the consencus but it was the main prize that went to Buckland and their Captain Ben Williamson lifted aloft the Cup to spark the clubs deserved celebrations.

Premier Division :

Three league matches saw three home wins today with Falmouth Town getting back to winning ways with a 3-2 success at home to Witheridge at Bickland Park. Penzance climbed two places to 7th after a 4-0 win over Dartmouth at Penlee Park and in a morning kick off Launceston beat Wadebridge Town 3-0 to climb a place to 11th.

Division 1 East :

Newton Abbot Spurs ended the unbeaten league run of some 20 matches of the newly crowned champions the Royal Marines with a 3-2 success in a Monday night game at the Rec. Adam Dyson scored twice with a Joe Andrews goal of the game effort sandwiched between. The Marines replied twice through Adam Fowler but for the first time since October they tasted league defeat. Totnes & Dartington had a 2-1 home win over Axminster Town that keeps alive their hopes of finishing in the prize money and also winning at home were Appledore who beat the University of Exeter 4-3 at Marshford.

Division 1 West :

Perranporth are the Champions of the West Division. They gained the win they needed to overhaul St Austell by beating Plymstock United 2-0 at Ponsmere and can look forward to the trophy presentation at next Saturdays final game of the season at home to Callington Town. Ian Goslings Perranporth have now won back to back titles having only joined the league as Combiantion League Champions 12 months ago. Godolhin Atlantic had a 3-1 win over Vospers Oak Villa that keeps alive their chances of finishing above cross town rivals Newquay and Camelford climbed one place to 8th with a 3-0 win at home to bottom side Mousehole.

Sunday 2nd May

Division 1 East :

Liverton United were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Budleigh Salterton this afternoon in a result that clarifies both 2nd and 3rd position in this division. Stoke Gabriel are confirmed as runners-up as they can no longer be caught and the point for Liverton was enough to ensure 3rd placed prize money for the Halford based club. It was visitors Budleigh Salterton who went 2-0 up thanks to a brace from leading scorer Danny Williams but two Dan Harrity goals, one either side of the half time interval, that ensured a share of the spoils. Liverton ended the game with 10 men after Stuart bowker was sent off late on for a 2nd yellow card.

Saturday 1st May

Premier Division :

League leaders Buckland Athletic took a significant step towards possibly a first ever league championship with a 3-1 win away at 3rd placed Falmouth Town this afternoon. With Bodmin Town, as expected, winning away at lowly Cullompton Rangers by a 4-0 margin it means that Buckland need 6 points from their remaining 2 games to secure the title although with a goal difference that is currently 14 better it may be that 4 points will suffice. Tavistock stay in 4th spot despite being held to a 3-3 draw at home to a Dartmouth side who levelled late on. St Blazey in 5th could still break into the prize money positions after a narrow 1-0 win at home to Witheridge. At the foot of the table Holsworthy lost 1-7 at home to Plymouth Parkway and that means they will be playing Division One football next season. Bovey Tracey and Liskeard Athletic who are both in the bottom 4 played each other and shared the spoils from a 2-2 draw at Mill Marsh Park. Elsewhere Launceston stay in 12th after a 2-0 home win over Saltash United and Elburton Villa climbed a place to 13th after a 2-1 home verdict over visiting Penzance.

Division 1 East :

The Royal Marines, who secured the East division title in midweek, didn't let up in their performance today as they thrashed Newton Abbot Spurs 6-1 at Endurance Park with Stuart Morgan netting twice. The Marines also broke through the 100 goal barrier as they have now notched 102 goals from 30 league outings. With Stoke Gabriel in 2nd having completed their fixtures only Liverton United can overhaul them. Today the Halford club had a 2-1 win over an Alphington side playing their final game of the season which although keeps alive their hopes they must win their final 2 games and improve their goal difference by 14 goals in the process. At the foot of the table Ottery St Mary drew 3-3 away at the University of Exeter which means they cannot now be caught by bottom club Bickleigh who will complete their first season at step 7 in the final position. Elsewhere Totnes & Dartington kept alive their chance of a prize money top 4 position with a 3-1 win away at Exmouth Town. Appledore had a 3-2 win at home to Galmpton Gents which lifts the Marshford club two places to 8th and also winning at home were Axminster Town who beat Crediton United by a 4-1 margin at Sector Lane. The match at Simmons Park kept the spectators entertained as Teignmouth ran out 7-4 winners against hosts Okehampton Argyle in a real goal feast.

Division 1 West :

Despite 103 goals being scored across 21 league fixtures today in the West Division just two matches that ended in 1-0 results proved to have the most significance. Leaders St Austell completed their fixtures by going down 0-1 away at Dobwalls to leave their lead at the top looking far too slender as they are just 2 points ahead of Perranporth who had a late Steve Rowson goal to secure a vital 1-0 win away at Vospers Oak Villa. Perranporth will claim the title if they can win just 1 of their 3 remaining matches. Goals were in plentiful supply at Trevassack Park where Hayle moved back into 3rd place with a 10-1 thrashing of Millbrook who scored their consolation through boss Dane Bunney ! Godolphin Atlantics chances of moving into the prize money were ended as they were forced to settle for a point from a 3-3 draw at home to Porthleven. Plymstock United remain in 7th despite a second away win in 4 days as they won 3-1 at Truro City today and Camelford leap-frogged their visitors today, Callington Town, by beating the visitors 5-2 at Trefrew Park.

Friday 30th April

Division 1 West :

Penryn Athletic climbed into third spot and gave themselves an excellent chance of gaining end of season prize money with a 4-1 win at home to Newquay tonight. Pat Shaughnessy hit a hat-trick for the Kernick side which brings him level on 26 goals with St Austell striker Mike Body as they chase the divisions golden boot award, a Hal David penalty being the other goal whilst the Peppermints ended their league season by slipping down to 5th and although Daniel Carne scored a great goal they ended the game with 10 men after Aaron Bicknell was sent off for a handball offence whilst giving away the penalty kick.

Thursday 29th April

Division 1 East :

The Royal Marines are the first club to clinch a championship this season when they beat Liverton United 4-1 at Endurance Park tonight to settle the East Division with 5 games remaining. Shea Saunders hit a hat-trick and Martin Finneron the other for the Commandos with Liverton replying through Clay Bond but ending the game with 10 men after Dan Harrity was sent off. Stoke Gabriel are now the most likely to be runners up as Liverton can only catch them if they win all 3 remaining games and boost their goal difference by 15 as well.

Wednesday 28th April

Premier Division :

Bodmin Town again cut the lead of Buckland Athletic back to 2 points with a 1-0 win over Launceston with a late Sam Matthews goal at Priory Park. Both sides now have 3 league games left and all will now be played on the same days as they both play Saturday, Wednesday and Saturday to close out the league season. Fourth placed Tavistock had a 2-0 win at home to Bovey Tracey as they look to gain some prize money at the seasons end and also winning were Dartmouth who had a 2-0 success at an Ivybridge Town side who became the first Premier club to complete the seasons fixtures. The Plymouth "derby" between Elburton Villa and Plymouth Parkway ended with honours even from a 1-1 draw at Haye Road.

Division 1 East :

Stoke Gabriel completed their seasons fixtures with an emphatic 6-0 thrashing of Exeter Civil Service that saw Tyrone Hawken hit 4 of his sides goals. Stoke could still finish in 2nd spot as only Liverton can overtake them and they may well need 10 of the 12 points they still have to play for to deny them. Galmpton Gents can no longer be second after they lost 1-0 away at Totnes & Dartington tonight, the win lifting the Foxhole club up three places to 6th. Alphington still have a chance of grabbing the prize for 4th after a 3-1 win away at Okehampton Argyle left them level on points with Galmpton. Both the bottom two clubs gained wins tonight with Bickleigh beating local rivals Crediton United 4-0 which included a Kieran Rapo hat-trick and for an hour they were off the bottom of the table but when Ottery St Marys floodlit encounter with Axminster Town ended they were back at the foot of the table as the Otters beat Axminster by a goal to nil at Washbrook Meadows.

Division 1 West :

Leaders St Austell assured themselves of a top two finish and kept alive their title chances by winning 1-0 away at 3rd placed Hayle tonight with Dan Nancarrow scoring the all important goal. The Lillywhites are 5 points clear of Perranporth who have games in hand but may well have to win 3 of their last 4 matches to deny the Poltair club the title. Plymstock United remain in 7th place after a 3-0 win away at a Millbrook side playing their last home game at Step 7 and also winning 3-0 were Callington Town who beat Truro City by that margin at Marshfield Park.

Tuesday 27th April

Premier Division :

Buckland Athletic again re-established their 5 point lead over Bodmin Town with a 3-0 win at home to Torpoint Athletic this evening. Shane Gill fired the Bucks into a 49th minute lead and then two Anthony Lynch goals in the space of a minute midway through the second half sealed the win. Falmouth Town stay in 3rd and look likely to claim the prize money for that position after a 5-1 win away at lowly Cullompton Rangers. St Blazey also had a big away win, in their case 4-1 at Liskeard Athletic, which was enough to lift them up a place to 5th. Saltash United climbed two places to 7th after a 6-1 thrashing of bottom side Holsworthy at Kimberley Stadium which leaves the Magpies survival chances down to a mathematically unlikely goal difference scenario.

Division 1 East :

The Royal Marines are on the verge of the East Championship after a 4-1 away win at the University of Exeter tonight which saw Dan Boere score twice. The Commandos need 4 points from the final 6 games but if they beat Liverton United on Thursday that would be enough as its Liverton who can push them the furthest in the table. Exmouth Town had a 3-1 win at home to Appledore which was enough to lift them up 4 places to 6th in the table. One game ended all square as Teignmouth and Budleigh Salterton drew 2-2 with Geoff Breslan scoring twice for the home side and Danny Williams netting one of the Robins goals.

Division 1 West :

Perranporth closed the gap on leaders St Austell down to 2 points with a 2-0 win away at Foxhole Stars tonight with Rob Stapleton and Dean Harris on target, Perranporth will be crowned Champions if they win 3 of their final 4 matches. Camelford climbed two places to 9th after a 4-1 win away at Dobwalls which saw Lewis Impleton score twice for the visitors.

Monday 26th April

Premier Division :

The "Cat & Mouse" battle for the league title carried on tonight as Bodmin Town reduced the gap to leaders Buckland Athletic back to two points as they again moved level on games played. Second half goals from Tom Chambers and Danny O'Hagan were enough for Bodmin to win 2-0 away at Penzance. Witheridge stretched their winning run to 4 matches with a 4-3 success at home to Elburton Villa tonight with all the goals shared around 7 different scorers including one for home player/boss Chris Vinnicombe. Wadebridge Town followed up last Saturdays win at home to Ivybridge with a 2-1 win tonight in another home contest, this time against Plymouth Parkway. Glen Squires and Josh Insley on target for the hosts with Chris Wright replying for Parkway.

Division 1 East :

Just one East fixture tonight and that saw Crediton United record a narrow 1-0 win over local rivals Exeter Civil Service at Lords Meadow. Richard Blake scored the all important goal which also lifts Kyrton a place to 13th in the table.

Sunday 25th April

Premier Division :

Launceston bounced back from two successive defeats to beat local rivals Tavistock 4-2 at Pennygillam on Sunday afternoon. The Clarets shared the scoring around as Charlie Blair, Sam Davey, Dominic Richardson and John James all found the net with visitors Tavistock replying through Adam Carter and Mike Landricombe.

Division 1 East :

The Royal Marines are now on top of the table and just need a maximum of 7 points from their remaining 7 games to clinch the title after coming from behind to win 3-2 away at Okehampton Argyle in a very entertaining game at Simmons Park. Richard Hope gave the Marines the half time lead but goals from Ricky Woolridge and Steve Williams fired the home side into a 2-1 lead that they held until the final 10 minutes when Sam Dibling levelled and then Hope clinched the winner with 4 minutes remaining.

Saturday 24th April

Premier Division :

League leaders Buckland Athletic responded to Bodmin Friday night victory in fine style as the Homers Heath club restored their 5 point lead with a convincing 6-2 win over Launceston. Anthony Lynch hit a hat-trick and Gavin Hammon a brace as the Bucks also gave a boost to their goal difference which is now 16 better than Bodmins. Falmouth Town had the days biggest win as they thrashed a Bovey Tracey side that again ended with 10 men by a 7-0 margin at Bickland Park and sees the home side climb a place to 3rd. A quartet of sides who started the day in 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th all recorded wins to cement their places in the top half with St Blazey winning 3-1 away at lowly Cullompton Rangers, just below them are Penzance who had a 4-0 win away at bottom side Holsworthy which leaves the Magpies having to gain a minim
